Those looking to place a Royal Ascot Festival bet on the Ascot Gold Cup will see former champion Kyprios return to action on day three. Aidan O’Brien’s runner impressively won the feature race in 2022 and is 13/8 to prevail this year. He is looking to join a small group of horses that have regained their crown in the marathon event.

Royal Connection
Before each day’s races at Royal Ascot, there is a royal procession, in which members of the racing family arrive at the racecourse in horse-drawn landaus. The late Queen Elizabeth II was a great fan of horse racing and a great supporter of the meeting. His son, King Charles II, and other members of the family have continued the tradition, and are often runners at the meeting themselves.
