Luke Littler is in the running to be darts’ hottest young star after 10-year-old Owen Bryceland had an incredible weekend on the junior tour.
Bryceland, who made 17-year-old Littler appear like a seasoned pro, won back-to-back tournaments on the Foundation Tour in Coventry.
The Scot defeated Mitchell Lawrie 5-1 in the Event 11 final after which Jack Howarth in the Event 12 showpiece to place himself in a robust position to qualify for the JDC Advanced Tour.
Bryceland highlighted the incredible level he’s already capable of playing at, posting an all-time Foundation Tour average of 104.86 in his last 16 win over Joshua Machine.
The barometer of his level is world primary Luke Humphries, who won the World Championship final against Littler with a median of 103.67.
Littler, who won back-to-back Junior World Championships in 2022 and 2023, has taken the darting world by storm since his breakthrough at Alexandra Palace over (*10*).
He reached the tournament final on debut, won his debut World Series, Player Championships and European Tour events and is currently top of the Premier League table after back-to-back night wins in Belfast and Manchester.
