ORDER NOW: Starting November 16, the Steam Deck OLED is available for pre-order on Steam in three configurations: 512GB ($549), 1TB ($649), and a limited edition 1TB Smoke and Translucent ($679).
Steam Deck fans: There’s something new on the horizon and you may close yours now. Valve is making Steam Deck OLED available for pre-order today, a new and improved portable device. The newly announced technology, which was surprisingly revealed earlier this month, is available in three different configurations, and from November 16 you may select the one you wish by logging into Steam and going to the order page.
There are two standard editions to pick from: a $549 OLED option for 512GB and a $649 OLED option for 1TB, each of which can be found for purchase now. However, a 3rd option is also available in the shape of a 1TB limited edition in smoke and translucent for $670.
While anyone can pre-order each standard consoles, this special version is only available to gamers within the US and Canada. There are other conditions as well: Your Steam account should be in good standing and you will need to have purchased something using it before November 2023. If you meet these two criteria, you should buy one OLED Steam Deck on this special configuration per eligible account. Valve has stated that quantities of this console will probably be limited, so it’s value a shot, but it surely’ll likely sell out quickly.
Still, there must be loads of other models available that take what everyone loves concerning the Steam Deck and throw in a beautiful new HDR OLED display. These features include an NVMe SSD, a 7.4-inch screen, Wi-FI 6E support, a battery that is good for 3 to 12 hours of gameplay depending on what you are playing, and a carry bag. The 1TB model also offers just a few extra goodies, similar to the Steam profile pack and the launch screen.
For PC gamers who like to enjoy their favorite titles from the comfort of their couch or bed, the OLED Steam Deck looks like a worthy upgrade. Just hurry if you happen to don’t need to be overlooked (or miss out on the proper Black Friday gaming gift).
