Walt Disney Company on Friday announced a brand new theater schedule that may feature the Mandalorian and Grog movie, the fifth “Toy Story” movie and the next “Tron” movie before the end of 2026.
The company’s movie show business is struggling following pandemic shutdowns and twin employees’ strikes in Hollywood, production shutdowns and changing box office habits of moviegoers. All the while, Disney struggled to attach with audiences, which made its revenue problems even worse.
Since returning as a Disney executive in late 2022, CEO Bob Iger has been working to right the ship. He admitted that the quality of the videos suffered in an try to release a considerable amount of entertainment content.
He said that brands like Marvel in particular have to be more selective with their sequels.
Iger also said he’ll now not tolerate his company’s partners and creative team prioritizing messaging over storytelling.
Disney’s updated offer includes several cult series, in addition to several releases for adult audiences.
Of note, the company’s sequel to “Moana” has been pushed back to July 2026. It was originally scheduled to open in 2025.

Disney joked that one in every of the 2026 “Star Wars” movies will feature the iconic duo from the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and revealed that its title can be “The Mandalorian & Grogu.” The cinema premiere is scheduled for May 22, 2026.
The fifth “Toy Story” film will hit theaters on June 19, 2026, and “Tron: Ares” will hit theaters on October 10, 2025.
