The cause of death of “American Pickers” star Frank Fritz has been released.
The reality star, who died Sept. 30 at age 60, died of “late sequelae of a cerebral infarction,” according to Fritz’s death certificate. TMZ.
This condition is more commonly known as paralysis.
Fritz’s death certificate also states that his stroke was brought on by cerebrovascular disease, a group of conditions that affect blood flow and blood vessels in the brain. University of Michigan Health.
The reality TV star had one too. aortic stenosisa chronic condition that can limit the amount of blood that flows from the heart to the rest of the body, and COPDor chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, a condition caused by damage to the airways or other parts of the lungs that blocks airflow and causes difficulty breathing. Both of these conditions contributed to Fritz’s death, according to the official document.
Fritz’s co-star and friend Mike Wolfe took to social media on Tuesday, October 1st to announce the History Channel alum’s shocking death.
“It is with a broken heart that I share with you all that Frank passed away last night,” she wrote. Instagram. “I did [known] Frank for more than half my life and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I’ve seen, a dreamer who was as sensitive as he was funny. As much as he was off-camera, Frank had a way of touching the hearts of so many people just by being himself.
Fritz had been hospitalized for a stroke two years before his death.
“Before the show we would get together to places we’d never known with no destination in mind and just a shared passion to discover something interesting and historic,” added Wolff, 60. “We’ve been on countless trips, lots of miles
The star concluded her post by writing, “I feel lucky to have been with her when she made her final journey home. I love you my friend and I will miss you so much I know you are in a better place.
Fritz and Wolf have co-hosted “American Pickers” since 2010, traveling the U.S. in search of rare artifacts and treasures to sell in antique shops or add to their personal collections.
The History Channel and “American Pickers” producer Cinflux Productions told The Post in a joint statement Tuesday: “We are saddened to announce that our friend and beloved member of The History Channel and American Pickers family, Frank Fritz, has passed away. Died on September 30, 2024. Frank filmed American Pickers for over a decade.
He continued, “We will always remember the “bearded charmer” and his never-ending search for vintage motorcycles and bikes. Our thoughts are with Frank’s loved ones during this difficult time. He is greatly missed.” will be done
In July 2022, Wolff shared the news of Fritz’s stroke on Instagram.
“I’ve been very private this past year about Frank’s life and journey,” he captioned the post at the time. There is no time to do it. Now it is time for me to pray for my friend.

Fritz stopped appearing on “American Pickers” during season 21 and was later replaced by Wolff’s brother Rob.
