It’s frustrating with a capital F if you do your hair only to have your curls fall flat or your bun covered in flyaways. Sure, you need not use a ton of products to master these looks but there’s one thing that’s non-negotiable for at-home styling sessions: hairspray. Like a nail polish top coat, it seals in your style so your hair looks longer all day (or night).
In theory, a spritz of hairspray looks as if a simple fix to make sure you keep your look, but they don’t seem to be all one-size-fits-all. The product has gotten a nasty rap because many formulas make hair feel and look stiff and crunchy. Not to say the astronomical stays.
