Mark your calendars: Open for business. FX has officially given season three a premiere date and released a delicious new teaser.
Audiences are (not so) patiently waiting for news on when Chris Storer’s award-winning drama will return. Now, FX has revealed that the next episode will drop on Hulu on June 27. The network also released a 42-second trailer showing Carmi (Jeremy Allen White) seemingly freed from the walk-in freezer, picking up where the season two finale left off.
In the clip, Carmi enters the kitchen in his chef jacket and throws his notebook and knife on the counter. Maybe he’s getting ready to do some prep? Afterwards, he gets a sort of blank look on his face and walks out — something we’ve seen Allen’s character do over and over again in the first two seasons. The camera then zooms out on the restaurant and the Chicago skyline.
Back in November, it was confirmed that the show had been renewed for a third season and would hit the streamer sometime in June. FX chairman John Landgraf also announced that, like previous episodes, season three will release all at once rather than in the traditional episodic manner.
Season three has a late release date.

Ahead of the teaser release on Thursday, fans are treated to a… Unauthorized peeping of season three last month. In April, footage shared during a Disney shareholder meeting was leaked online without permission. Before the clip was taken down, the video featured Neil Falk (Matty Matheson) and Ted (Ricky Stafferi), who apparently took it upon themselves to hang pictures of the food’s biggest critics in the restaurant’s office. The two then call Carmi to come in and take a look at the portraits to which he replies, “That’s clever – good job.”
Fans also believe that Will Poulter will reprise his role as Chef Luca, although this has not been confirmed. Filming for season three began in February. A set video Shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), Poulter can be seen standing in front of a townhouse. The last time we saw him was in the season two episode “Honeydew” when he was mentoring veteran, Copenhagen-based pastry chef Marcus (played by Lionel Boyce).

Although season three has yet to air, sources confirmed in March that season four was already in the works. In fact, the fourth episode was reportedly shot back-to-back with season three. There’s no official word on whether it’s being greenlit, but we’d be surprised if the series dropped it after season three.
