Darts star Luke Littler and Brentford striker Neal Maupay got right into a fight on Easter Sunday on social media.
Maupay got here on as an alternative in Brentford’s dramatic draw with Manchester United – who Littler supports – on Saturday and got right into a fight with Scott McTominay.
The 27-12 months-old Frenchman posted a photograph of the event on Instagram, showing Scotland star McTominay grabbing his shirt, with the caption: “This fan is desperate for my shirt.”
Littler responded to the article regarding Maupay’s post, writing on Instagram: “He says more than he gains.”
Dissatisfied that the 17-12 months-old world champion, who won his first Premier League night in Belfast on Thursday, had the last word, Maupay turned to X to reply.
Maupay posted a clip of Littler celebrating, writing “Let’s talk about the big fish”, implying that he had lured Littler and referring to Littler’s famous 170 cashes – known in darts because the “big fish”.
The Brentford forward doesn’t take kindly to social media antics, having engaged in a disagreement with James Maddison earlier this season after the Brentford striker mocked the Tottenham midfielder’s goal celebration.
Maddison told TNT Sports: “He didn’t score enough goals to celebrate his own celebration, so he copied mine.”
Maddison’s comments irked Maupay, who responded on Instagram after the match, mocking his Leicester opponent’s relegation last season.
The Frenchman wrote: “We are devastated that we didn’t manage to win. More goals and fewer drops in my profession than James Maddison.
