Norwich City defender Shane Duffy says the club never stopped believing it might be a successful season, even at its worst in November.
However, after five wins in their last seven games, the Canaries at the moment are on target for a play-off place.
“We believed all along. The question marks probably came from outsiders,” Duffy said.
“It’s a really good wardrobe with really good characters.
“We were disappointed [in November] and at the right moment a few words were said. It wasn’t pretty. We weren’t happy when we lost, but we always believed we had figured out the right way of playing and with the players we had in our squad we could turn things around,” he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
“A lot of people in this dressing room know that anything can happen in the Championship and we have always stuck together.”
With three games left, David Wagner’s team – who On Saturday he won 1-0 against Preston – needs a maximum of seven points to make sure of a place in the top six.
Their next two matches will probably be at home against Bristol City and Swansea, where they’ve not been beaten since the loss to Blackburn, before ending the regular season with a visit to Birmingham City.
“Not many teams will want to come to us now the way we play,” Ireland center back Duffy said. who arrived at Carrow Road last summer on a free transfer.
“The manager was great, he was never too high, never too low and kept motivating us. A few players came back from injury and we just kept believing.
“I always felt that with our squad we should have been at the top of the league and now we’ve taken that onto the pitch and let our actions do the work.
“I’m delighted we’ve turned things around and I hope we can get this done.”
