Sabrina Carpenter unveiled the trailer during the final night of her Short En Sweet US tour on Monday night.
“Christmas is coming early this year,” the pop star says at the start of the teaser. “I will not count the silent night.”
Netflix previously announced plans for the special in September. The musical extravaganza will feature a star-studded guest list, including Chappelle Rowan, Tyla, Shania Twain, Callie Aches, Quetta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Nico Hiraga, Megan Stalter, Sean Aston, Owen Thiele and Jillian Bell. are included.
“It’s a nonsense holiday and we’re here for it,” reads the logline, an homage to Carpenter’s famous song, “Nonsense.”
“In this special with musical guests, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter will perform songs from her holiday EP and other popular chart-topping holiday covers,” the release continues. “The special will feature show-stopping musical performances, hilarious guests, unexpected pairings, plus lots of surprises and fun cameos.”
Carpenter’s Short En Suite Tour kicked off in September with a performance in Columbus, Ohio. Although the American leg will end on Monday night, it will begin in Europe next March.
Premieres December 6th at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Netflix. The show is produced by OBB Pictures and Eight Last Productions and directed by Sam Wrench. Nikki Buella is the exhibitor.
