They could be anything they wanted to be in this world, and I said, ‘Mm, that would make a great movie.’ ,'” he explained. “It wasn’t really until the pandemic when, really, I saw their light fade, and they started playing less and less fantasy games. The world started coming, and I went, ‘Oh, My God, this is the definition of being grown up.’ And so they said, ‘Are we going to be okay?’ And I went, ‘That’s it. I’m writing this movie right now to prove to you that the magical world is always there, and you can always go back.'”
