Ryan Gosling just cannot let go of his character, Ken Barbie doll during his Saturday Night Live monologue.
Although he initially said he would not talk about Ken because he “broke up” with the character after going “too deep,” he ultimately decided to sing about his feelings, performing Taylor Swift’s hit “All Too Well.” ”
“You know, when you play a character so hard and for so long, just letting go feels like a breakup, and there’s only one thing that can really help you get over a breakup: the music of the great Taylor Swift.” La La Land said the actor.
Gosling then began singing, “It’s true, I tore up Venice Beach/My clothes were tight/But there was something about that spandex that fit/I left my roller skates in that big pink house/But I still got that fur and I’ll wear it now (Show him , as he puts on Ken’s iconic coat).”
“If I said I used to be advantageous, you recognize I can be lying. / ‘Cause I used to be just Ken and now I’m just Ryan,” he continued.
Emily Blunt then cut to Gosling’s song, (jokingly) annoyed that he was still singing about Ken though he was purported to be promoting their upcoming movie Autumn guy. “What are you doing?” she asked, adding that that they had plans to perform “some stunts.”
“I was going to hit you and instead you’re singing about Ken again,” Blunt told the actor. “Listen, you’re Kenning now and I hate that as a verb at all. I do not like it. Take off the fur. You’re embarrassing yourself.”
After the audience sighed, Oppenheimer the actress added: “Guys, I don’t desire to be harsh, but Ryan, you’ve to maneuver on. It’s time.”
While Gosling appeared to agree, he quickly realized he “just couldn’t” move on and broke out into one other piece of music. “We’re on the technicolor beach again / I didn’t win an Oscar, it was just out of reach / I was there / Bleached blonde / Now it’s time to say goodbye to Ken,” he sang just before Blunt hit him within the face with a bottle head.
“This is what it’s going to look like,” she said, and Gosling shouted in response, “What the hell, Emily?”
“You were a stuntman [in The Fall Guy] or you can take the hit and see how cool it was,” Blunt said. But when Gosling was about so as to add that Ken would also think the stunts were “pretty cool,” she hit the actor with a chair.
“Ken is dead. Okay, Ken is dead. The devil wears Prada exclaimed the actress.

McKinnon’s Colleen Rafferty, Gosling’s Todd and Sherman recounted being abducted by aliens again, except this time Colleen showed the aliens’ interest in Todd’s private part, or as she called it, his “troll nose.”
“In case you’re wondering, I didn’t get turned on,” Gosling’s Todd confidently noted. “Every time I felt like I could, I just looked at Colleen.”
McKinnon, Gosling and Cecily Strong debuted with the primary sketch “Close Encounter”. in December 2015, when Gosling and Strong’s characters talked about positive interactions with aliens. However, McKinnon’s character hilariously described a less-than-pleasant interaction with them.
The trio reprized their characters again in October 2017 for one other memorable alien abduction sketch.
Later within the show, basketball star Caitlin Clark made a surprise appearance on “Weekend Update” to roast Michael Che over a sexist joke.
“The University of Iowa has announced that basketball star Caitlin Clark will retire her jersey and replace it with a scrubs,” Che said before introducing Clark ahead of Monday’s WNBA draft.
“I’m a fan, by the way, Caitlin,” the comedian added, but the previous Iowa Hawkeyes player quickly replied, “Really, Michael? Because I heard that joke about the apron you made.
On Saturday, Gosling hosted the sketch comedy show with musical guest Chris Stapleton for the third time.
