Prince William and Kate Middleton’s love story spans decades, and it’s still going strong.
Roya Nekha, royals editor of The Sunday Times and co-host of the podcast “The Royals with Roya and Kate,” told Fox News Digital that the Prince and Princess of Wales are still “very much together” after a tumultuous year.
“When you see them engaged, it’s obvious that they’re still very much in love with each other,” Nikha said. “One is always looking out for the other. Lately, when they were together in Southport, you could see that… she was a little more vulnerable. I think they’ve got each other’s backs.”
“I think when you have so much public scrutiny weighing on you, it’s very difficult to keep your private life private because you’re so publicly scrutinized,” Nikha explained. “But if you look at the video when they put it out [Kate] announced that he had completed chemotherapy, we would never see him like this again.

“He postponed the start of full-time royal duties for as long as he could to that end,” Fitzwilliams said. “William and Catherine… have always highlighted their private closeness and harmony, which they portray as well in public, as their competitive spirit, especially when they relax during royal visits. which includes competitive sports.”
“As the future king and queen, they have a loving family at the center of their lives.” “The recent video when Catherine told us she was cancer-free showed an intimate moment between them. The royals aren’t known for public displays of affection, but their body language speaks volumes. Catherine’s with William Illness spending so much time with her will, if it is possible, bring them even closer.
The Prince and Princess of Wales met in 2001 as students at the University of St Andrews. They got married in 2011. The couple has three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
The royal family has been rocked by health concerns this year, starting with the announcement in January that King Charles III would undergo treatment for an enlarged prostate and that Kate would undergo stomach surgery.
In February, Buckingham Palace announced that Charles was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer. Six weeks later, Kate said she was also undergoing cancer treatment, silencing the constant speculation about her condition that had been circulating on social media since her surgery.
After Kate’s announcement, William took time to support his wife.
In September, the 42-year-old announced that he was cancer-free. The princess, who appeared with her husband and their children, spoke of how difficult the past nine months had been for her family. He expressed “relief” at completing his treatment.
“More than anything, this time has reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that most of us take for granted. Just to love and be loved. About,” he said.
Helena Chard, a British broadcaster and photographer, told Fox News Digital that the Prince and Princess of Wales are enjoying a “happy, stable family life full of fun, love and laughter”.
“He tries to keep the majority of his personal touch life private,” Chard said. “During his early years, he partied at certain clubs. But over the years they have fueled and energized each other by enjoying competitive sports and pursuing all kinds of recreation in the great outdoors.
“The Prince and Princess of Wales are best friends, each other’s support blanket and cheerleader,” Chard said. “Laughter and enjoying the little things in life is their medicine. Princess Catherine’s unexpected illness and her terrifying journey through cancer brought them closer together with the realization that life is so fragile. They are closer to each other than ever. Love and appreciate.”
During his visit to Cape Town, South Africa on November 7, William admitted that 2024 had been the “brutal” and “toughest year” of his life. He considered becoming Prince of Wales after the death of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
“It was really hard trying to get everything and keep everything on track,” the 42-year-old was quoted as saying by People magazine. “But I’m very proud of my wife, I’m very proud of my dad, for handling the things he’s done. But from a personal family perspective, it’s been brutal.
William also remarked that Kate was “doing well.” After explaining that he looked relaxed, the prince said, “I couldn’t be less relaxed this year, so it’s exciting that you’re all watching it.”
“But it’s just a matter of wear and tear, and you have to keep going,” he said. “I enjoy my work, and I enjoy pacing myself and making sure I have time for my family as well.”
British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that as soon as Kate returns to royal duties, William will be with her for much-needed support.
“A picture tells a thousand words and there have been many times when their affection is reminiscent of two young people in love, which of course they were in their early, early 20s,” Fordwich said.
“William played water polo and trained in swimming in the pool at the Old Course Hotel, the same pool where Kate swam many mornings,” they said of their early years getting to know each other.
“It was there that their athletic instincts became apparent to each other, even though they were just friends at the time. Dark winter mornings, getting up before 5 a.m. were not for most university students. They both knew that the other is health conscious, yet another feature they share is where they developed such comfort with each other.”
“Their public display of affection these days shows that they have no hesitation or reservations about letting the world know how they feel about each other when they see fit,” Fordwich shared. ” “Their comfort with each other has never diminished, but rather increased, from the deep bonds formed at the university.”
