Since Google debuted the original Pixel watch in 2022, the improvement of battery life was the main purpose of the next iteration of smartwatch. Based on the new leaks of the upcoming Pixel Watch 4, it looks like it can be like that again.
Renders published by 91 Mobile with Leaker Onleaks show a slightly thicker watch with two small buttons on both sides of the speaker. (What these buttons do is a secret. There are several reasons why a smartwatch can be thicker, but usually it means a larger battery or additional components. Meanwhile, the sensor board no longer shows four charging pins, which have been added using Pixel Watch 2. This would indicate that Google could find a way to allow faster charging without them. It reports that the Pixel Watch 4 should still appear in two sizes.
The thicker body and the lack of loads may indicate that the battery life is still burning firmly Google. The battery life was the most annoying in the original Pixel watch, to the extent that since then the company worked on repairing it using Pixel Watch 2 and 3. Adding charging pins caught some pixel watch fans, but the main reason was to include a safer connection and facilitating faster charging. The problem with high heels, in addition to adding a new reserved charger, is that they wear out over time.
Wearos 4 and 5 also focused on ways to be more efficient. As a result, you can now reliably expect that Pixel Watches will last all day, but still sneaks behind the multi -day battery life achieved by competing smartwatches, such as OnePlus Watch 3, Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
We cannot draw any definite conclusions from these leaks. Many things may change before starting the final product, and the equipment renderers do not tell us anything about what is in the device or how it will focus on Wearos 6. We can learn more on Google We/O next month.
