According to a report, Queen Camilla has put her foot down and urged King Charles to avoid meeting Prince Harry during his current visit to London.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, has been visiting the home soil for a series of charity events – most recently presenting the Wellchild Award at Monday night’s ceremony.
But despite being in the same time zone as her estranged father, it looks like a royal reunion won’t be written in her diary.
Camilla has reportedly advised her cancer-stricken husband to stay away from their young son this time to avoid unnecessary stress during his health battle. told The Daily Beast.
“[Camilla] Her friend told the outlet that Charles has been the main voice encouraging her to slow down and take things easy. “The last thing she wants is to stress about meeting Harry.”
Camilla also wants her husband to be fit enough to travel to Australia later this month – a trip he is preparing for by enjoying some rest at his Scottish residence.
It has been reported that Charles has no plans to visit London during Harry’s visit.
The 75-year-old monarch has only seen Harry once this year, when the Duke traveled to the UK in February after his father was diagnosed with cancer.
Elsewhere, Camilla’s pal told the outlet that Charles is desperate to bury the hatchet with his estranged son for personal reasons, as well as ease pressure on the monarchy.
“The king has a natural passion for Christian reconciliation, and his cancer diagnosis has only intensified that,” the source said.
“He wants it fixed, not only because he loves both of his sons, but because it has been too unstable for the monarchy.”
The Post has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.
Earlier this year, Harry made it clear he was open to meeting his father to discuss the possibility of a reconciliation.
The father-of-two publicly said he was disappointed not to meet Charles during his impromptu dash to the UK in May, but said he hoped the pair could meet in the future.
