OnePlus has officially announced its next flagship smartphone, the new OnePlus 13. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with an improved vapor cooling system, the OnePlus 13 will be available in China from November 1 in configurations starting at 4,499 yen (approximately $632). for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage to 5,999 yen (about $843) for 24GB of RAM and a full terabyte.
According to Notebookcheck, the biggest improvements to the OnePlus 13 are the new 6,000 mAh battery, which OnePlus claims provides up to 11 hours of video playback. While it offers a larger capacity than the 5,400mAh battery used in the previous OnePlus 12, the OnePlus 13 battery uses silicon-carbon technology, which provides a higher power density than traditional lithium-polymer batteries. Thanks to this, the new model is actually slightly thinner than its predecessor.
The OnePlus 13 offers the same charging speeds as the OnePlus 12, with a maximum of 100W using a USB-C cable or 50W when using the company’s wireless chargers. It can also be used to power other devices using reverse charging, but at much slower speeds. If you stick the wireless earbuds charging case on the back of the OnePlus 13, they only charge wirelessly at 10W. When you connect another device with a USB-C cable, the charging speed is even slower at 5W.
The screen size remains the same with a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels and a maximum brightness of 4500 nits. The OnePlus 13’s display also looks much flatter than the OnePlus 12’s, but it still has subtle curves on all four sides.

Water and dust resistance has been increased to a maximum IP69 rating – up from previously IP65 – while the OnePlus 13 also comes with an improved under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. This should provide better performance in low light conditions or when trying to unlock the phone with a wet finger compared to the optical reader used on the OnePlus 12.
On the back of the OnePlus 13, you’ll find three 50MP cameras with the Hasselblad logo. The main camera uses a 1/1.43-inch sensor with optical image stabilization and is paired with a 1/1.95-inch sensor with telephoto zoom capability via a periscope lens and an optional 120-degree ultra-wide angle that can also be used for macro photography.

Other features include 24/7 NFC technology so you don’t have to be as precise when tapping to pay, increased Bluetooth range and – according to OnePlus – the largest vibration motor ever in an Android phone, designed to improve feedback when playing games video . The OnePlus 13 will also support magnetic accessories, and the company is offering magnetic cases, including a wood option for those who want a finish other than the white, obsidian, and blue color scheme the phone is offered in.
