The Duchess of Sussex’s best bowing moments have turn into the topic of a brand new viral social media post, as photos from essential royal events gained praise from fans on TikTok.
In 2022, Meghan became embroiled in controversy after she performed a dramatic version of the gesture of respect in her Netflix docuseries: Harry and Meghan, through which she was accused of mocking tradition.
This move is traditionally offered within the UK by members of the royal family and the monarch’s court as an indication of respect. It consists of a brief bend within the knee and a head tilt. Curts are offered twice a day, once when the King and Queen first greet one another, and however after they say goodbye.
Several members of the royal family have been praised by fans for curtsying over time, including Princess Diana, Duchess Kate, Princess Charlotte and Meghan.
Posted to TikTok by user @itsmeren026 on April 2 a post containing three striking images Meghan bowing to Queen Elizabeth II has gone viral, garnering over 331,000 views on the platform to this point.
The first photo shown was taken after Queen Elizabeth’s death in September 2022, when Meghan joined senior members of the royal family to pay their respects on the monarch’s burial ceremony at Westminster Hall in London. At the tip of the event, members of the royal family made ceremonial bows and curtsies in front of the Queen’s coffin, and Meghan’s profound dedication was captured on camera.
The second and third photos within the post were taken on Christmas Day in 2017 and 2018. Meghan became the primary royal fiancée to receive an invite to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth and her family in 2017, ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry.
In the church of St. Mary Magdalene at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England Meghan was photographed curtsying to the Queen as she left the morning service. This happened again the next yr.
The viral post, titled “Bows from Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,” gained greater than 19,000 likes and nearly 500 comments, a lot of which praised the royal and others referenced her bowing controversy on Netflix.
“She acted more elegant than anyone else. She has the identical energy as Diana. I feel it,” wrote one TikTok user.
“The first curtsy is everything. Because in these high heels I would fall on my face,” wrote one other, with one other comment: “I only remember Netflix making fun of it.”
