The Duchess of Sussex showed off her chic spring floral style on a recent visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) where she took part in a special book reading as part of the charity’s literacy program.
On March 21, Meghan spent time with several young CHLA patients, reading to them from successful children’s books. Rosie the Riveter Sarah Dujek and Pete the Cat By James Dean and Eric Litton.
The reading was part of the Literally Healing program at Reading Hospital, which promotes literacy and gifts more than 65,000 books annually to CHLA patients and their families. The Duchess’ visit also coincided with the hospital’s #MakeMarchMatter fundraising campaign.
Photos and video footage of Meghan’s first unannounced visit to the hospital were released on CHLA social media channels on Tuesday, showing the royal posing with the children and reading to the group.
For the occasion, Meghan showcased her effortlessly chic aesthetic, with a twist of spring florals.
The Duchess wore a skirt and blouse ensemble from the fashion house of Oscar de la Renta. The pleated skirt showcases a massive floral motif in layered chiffon.
This is not the first time that royal fans have seen this particular outfit. 2022 Netflix documents Harry and Meghan, The Duchess is seen wearing the same look in a photo taken outside Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle with Prince Harry and the couple’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilybet.
To accessorize for March’s CHLA tour, Meghan wore a pair of simple black flats with ankle straps from one of her favorite luxury footwear brands, Aquazura.
“To mark the end of another great #MakeMarchMatter campaign, on Thursday, March 21st, CHLA patients and their families were treated to a special literal healing story time with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. Gone,” the hospital said via its Instagram page. on Tuesday.
“They were laughing and singing as she recited patient favorites. Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat And I saw a cat.. With literacy, development and fun in mind, the mother-of-two also helps children with activities linked to each book that let children explore counting, colouring, problem solving and more.”

So far, Meghan has made several public appearances in 2024, including participating in a South by Southwest entertainment industry conference titled: “Breaking Barriers, Shaping the Narrative: How Women on Screen and Off the Lead do.”
In March, the Duchess also soft launched her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, with a website and Instagram page. Although not much is known about the brand yet, the trademark filing links its planned output to multiple product ranges, from tableware to stationery and pet food.
