Madeleine Cline, the Netflix hit star, and KJ Appa, best known for starring in the CW show, are set to topline a romantic drama set at Amazon MGM Studios.
Sophia Wylie (), Madison Thompson (), Orlando Norman () and Josh Lucas () have also joined the cast.
Swedish filmmaker Lasse Hallstrmuth is behind Veepy as well, directing Love Story, which adapts JP Moninger’s novel of the same name. Les Boehme () and Vera Herbert () wrote the script.
Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Vic Godfrey, Isaac Klausner and John Fisher are producing.
The film follows a young woman (Kline), who meets a mysterious stranger (Apa) while on a post-grad European vacation with some friends. Insta attraction will be tested by life and duty, and a secret or two, as the man changes his life for… wait for it… forever.
Cline is best known for playing Sarah Cameron on, which recently filmed its fourth season. Her credits include appearances in Focus Features and Netflix’s Chivas is also part of the bold-faced list of suspects in Rian Johnson’s She’s Shooting a Horror Movie Reboot for Sony. Cline is repped by CAA, Entertainment 360, Bold Talent Agency and Hirsch Wallerstein.
Apa is best known for Archie Andrews On, a novelization of the classic clean-cut comic book. He recently finished shooting Gulfstream’s Rom Rom and starred in the motorcycle drama for Amazon MGM. Apa is repped by UTA, Luber Roklin Entertainment, Mandy Jacobsen, Red 11 Management and Jackoway Austen.
