The remake started picking up steam in July 2022, but was delayed due to several incidents. First, production was shut down after a trailer caught fire on set, prompting a fire investigation to discover the cause. After this was resolved, the film resumed production in April 2023 when the rest of the cast was announced. But it was closed again in May 2023 after the writers’ strike began and remained so as the actors’ strike began a few months later.

Who is in the remake?
Fans of the original will be pleased to hear that several actors from the animated film will return in some capacity for the live-action remake, including Chris Sanders, who voiced Stitch in the 2002 title, which he What was created? How will stitching be incorporated into the remake?
While most of the remake will be live action, there is one particular part of the film that will still be made for the project: the stitching. The dog-like alien will be computer-generated, but his fellow extraterrestrials will be portrayed by real actors: Jimba, Pleakley and Cobra Bubbles.
