King Charles III is celebrating his 76th birthday.
The Royal Family is expected to celebrate Charles’ birthday this weekend with an intimate celebration at High Grove House – the King and Queen’s private residence – the Post has heard.
“It won’t be a big deal,” a palace source told The Post exclusively. “A typical dinner that would include birthday cake.”
In fact, the cancer-stricken monarch’s former personal butler told The Post that “weekends are time for royals.”
Grant Harrold – who worked for Charles for seven years when he was Prince of Wales – said the royal “usually keeps his birthdays very low unless they’re milestones.”
“When I was there, I usually saw phone calls from the family, messages from the public, a selection of birthday cards that were laid out in front of him so he could see them,” Harold added.
To mark the special day, Charles will be rolling up his sleeves and getting involved with his Coronation Food Project – an initiative he started on his 75th birthday last year to tackle food waste in the UK.
The king will cut the ribbon and open a new food bank that is hosting a “food festival” on Thursday, with a meal cooked with produce that would otherwise go to waste. While there, Charles will also install an industrial freezer.
It is unclear whether Queen Camilla will join her husband at the event after being forced to pull the plug on several royal engagements following a chest infection.

“Happy birthday to that king today,” the post read, alongside a picture of the king wearing a navy suit over a crisp white shirt and blue tie.
The Prince and Princess of Wales also shared a birthday message of their own. X account“A very happy birthday to His Majesty the King,” alongside a photo of Charles during his recent visit to Australia.
It is understood that Charles’ youngest son, Prince Harry, is yet to arrive.
