We can all use a little help.
Kaley Cuoco has revealed that she and fiancé Tom Pelfrey are in couples therapy as they raise their young daughter.
And Coco, 38, believes all couples should follow her lead.
The “Big Bang Theory” star opened up about parenting on the Nov. 25 episode. “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
“It’s been a wild ride, Jimmy,” Coco told Fallon of her and Palfrey’s upbringing of nineteen-month-old Matilda. “I mean, it’s been an adventure. 19 months. It’s a lot.
“It’s a wild thing, I was trying to explain to my couples therapist the other day why I’m so tired,” the “Based on a True Story” actress continued, drawing laughter from the audience.
Coco then paused and turned to address the audience directly. “You should all be in couples therapy, just FYI,” she said with a hint of admonition.
Returning to her origin story, the two-time Emmy nominee recalled telling her couple’s therapist that “taking care of a 19-month-old is like taking care of your drunk best friend every day.”
She explained, “They’re crying when they don’t get what they want. You’re making sure they get to the bathroom, or you clean up their throw-up with whatever. And they’re out of their minds, and you’re making sure they don’t die for the day.
“And then they black out, and you’re, like, ready to die, and they wake up and they’re like, “What’s for breakfast?” he continued.
“And you’re like, ‘What?’ I’m like, ‘Do you know what happened last night?’
She added, “Am I right, though? It’s crazy. And it happens every day… It’s a real joy.”
On March 30, 2023, Coco and Pelfrey, 42, celebrated the arrival of their daughter Matilda. A year ago, in March 2022, the pair confirmed they were an item.
Three months ago, on August 15, Coco revealed that she and Palfrey were engaged. The “Flight Attendant” star showed off her ring in a selfie the “Ozark” actor posted on his Instagram story. “Amazing weekend,” she captioned the photo.
When it comes to their marriage, Coco and Palfrey share people in September that they “haven’t started planning anything yet,” even suggesting that “another baby might have to come first.”
“We’re going to go out of order,” he told the magazine. “That’s our plan.”
Coco recently opened up about the online critics and scrutiny she’s received over her “parenting style,” calling for an end to mom-shaming.
“It’s just this business, it’s life. It is what it is. But yes, we have to stop. [with] Embarrassing,” she told E! News
“Everybody has something to say about everything. Before I had kids, having kids didn’t change where I was in my life.
“Every mom I can guarantee is doing her best,” she added.
