The end of the “Full House” reunion? How rude!
Luckily for Jodie Sweetin, she’s ready to get the original gang — including John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Lori Loughlin, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber — back together at any time.
“I’ve learned in this business to never say never,” the 42-year-old actress told The Post exclusively. Scleroderma Research Foundation “Cold Comedy – Hot Food” event earlier this month. “I’m totally down for it. I’m saying we need to do ‘Golden Girls’ Fullest House.’
Sweeten teased, “Give it a few years and we’ll be like proper old ladies. I think we can do it.”
One cast member will be missing, though — Bob Sagitt, who played the beloved Danny Tanner, died in 2022 at the age of 65 from blunt force trauma to the head after collapsing in his hotel room.
“It’s always going to be different without Bob,” Starr noted.
“He’s the heart of the family in many ways,” continued Sweeten. “But I think the rest of us would definitely love to do it.”
And the “Fuller House” doc continues to honor Saget’s legacy by showcasing causes that were near and dear to the late comedian’s heart, including a fundraiser for the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
“That was funny,” Sweeten thought. “I was in the car on the way here, and it was an awkward moment, and I said to my husband, ‘Oh, that’s right, I forgot that Bob wasn’t going to be here tonight.’ It was always going to be here. I’m just so honored that so many people continue to fight to fund research for scleroderma.
She added, “My grandmother had this disease and it affects so many women, so many people. It’s really powerful to see that everyone still shows up and I know Bob would be just thrilled.”
He was America’s father in the ’80s and ’90s, but Sweeten learned a lot from Sagitt.
“Laughing at the most horrible things,” he admitted. “If you’re going through it, just laugh it off. It takes strength away. And Bob was great at going through some really painful stuff and being able to laugh it off and get through it. So, that’s the thing. is what I carry with me all the time.
Taking a look at the life of the Hollywood icon, Sweeten reminisces about one of Saget’s favorite traits — and one many fans won’t be surprised to learn.
“I don’t think it would surprise anyone to know that Bob talked on the phone more than anybody — like in the days before cell phones. We had a set phone on stage, it was a corded phone. He He would wheel around and he’d be on the phone like in between scenes, it was hilarious once we got the phone in our hands it was a constant,” he shared.
“One thing you always knew about Bob… you could text him and hold him because the phone was going to be there.”
One thing is clear: The “Full House” cast is a family and will no doubt be reunited after the 65-year-old Koller revealed his cancer diagnosis on Wednesday.
Published on Coulier’today’ Show and shared that he has stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The podcast host said she first noticed her symptoms several months ago when she got a cold and then noticed a large lump in her back.
“It swelled up immediately,” Koller said. “I thought, ‘Wow, I’m either really sick, or my body is really reacting to something.'”
The ’90s icon visited a doctor and was told his diagnosis five weeks ago, which came as a complete shock to him and his wife Melissa.
“The first thing I said to him was, ‘Wait a minute — cancer?'” he recalled. “(I) felt like I got punched in the stomach because it never happens to you. You always hear it’s happening to somebody else.
Collier confirmed that she began chemotherapy two weeks after her diagnosis.
“You hear chemo, and it scares the living daylights out of you,” she said. “The first round was pretty intense because you don’t know what to expect. You don’t know how you’re going to feel. Is it going to hit me instantly? Is it going to be devastating? Am I going to get out of here? ?”
Collier said he has six rounds of chemo every three weeks and expects to finish his treatment by February.
“It’s been a bit of a roller coaster. There are days where I feel incredible,” he added, “then there are other days where … I’m just going to lay down and let it happen.”
