Joe Rogan suggests UFOs, drug use is in the Bible

In the latest installment of his popular podcast, Joe Rogan discussed whether the Bible describes UFO sightings and drug use.

Broadcaster whose podcast The Joe Rogan experience is considered one of the most listened to programs in the world, I explored this issue in a discussion with author, producer and director David Holthouse in episode released on April 2. Holthouse and Rogan discussed various UFO sightings over the years and theorized that they could possibly be evidence of top-secret military projects or alien life forms.

Among several ideas presented, Rogan also theorized that UFOs have all the time been present on Earth before he took a passage from the Bible’s Old Testament The Book of Ezekielwhich speaks of an encounter with unknown beings.

The New International Version of the Bible speaks of “a wind coming from the north, a great cloud flashing with lightning and surrounded by brilliant light. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal, and in the fire were what looked like four living people. Their form was human in appearance, but each of them had four faces and four wings.

“Their legs were straight, their feet were like those of a calf, and they shone like polished bronze. They had human hands under their wings on all four sides. All four of them had faces and wings, and the wings of one touched the wings of the other, each walking straight; they did not turn back when they moved.”

The passage says that these creatures had human faces and “each had two wings spread upward, each touching the creature’s wing on either side, and each having two other wings covering its body. Each one flew straight ahead. Wherever the spirit went, they went, not turning back as they went.”

“When I looked at the living creatures, next to each creature I saw on the ground a circle with its four faces,” we read further. “This was the appearance and structure of the wheels: they sparkled like topaz and all four looked alike. Each of them looked like a circle intersecting a circle. When they moved, they moved in one of the four directions the creatures faced; the wheels did not change direction as the creatures walked. Their rims were tall and amazing, and all four rims were full of eyes all around.

Joe Rogan talks about UFOs and the Bible

While Ezekiel said that the human-like figure high above the beings was “the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord”, Rogan and Holthouse theorized that perhaps it was a hallucinogenic experience.

“I mean anyone who has taken DMT [dimethyltryptamine] or ayahuasca – you are really under the influence of psychedelics – you read it and it seems familiar,” Holthouse said. “Glory to God, these visions of these beings.”

“And the fact that these things are constantly changing their appearance,” Rogan said. “That’s what it’s like with the DMT experience. This is not a stationary, static experience. It is constantly changing and moving in front of you. And to see something like that in the sky… And the fact that it’s so noteworthy that they wrote it in the fucking Bible.”

DMT is a hallucinogenic compound and considered one of the principal energetic ingredients of ayahuasca.

Rogan looked as if it would quote Benny Shanon to support his theory. – wrote an Israeli professor of cognitive philosophy in a British academic journal Time and mind in 2008, the biblical character Moses, when he received the Ten Commandments from God, was probably under the influence of psychedelic drugs.

Shanon, a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, said two naturally occurring plants in the Sinai Peninsula contain psychoactive ingredients.

“The thunder, lightning, and trumpets that the Book of Exodus says came from Mount Sinai may have simply been a figment of the imagination of a people in an altered state of consciousness,” Shanon wrote. “In advanced forms of ayahuasca intoxication, seeing light is accompanied by deep religious and spiritual feelings.”

On his podcast, Rogan told Holthouse how “it has been theorized that Moses’ experience with the burning bush was a DMT experience… When you say Moses saw a burning bush, well, what kind of bush would burn that would give you a psychedelic experience?” Well, acacia, which is quite common in this area, is wealthy in DMT. And how do you get DMT psychoactively? You smoke it.

“So you burn this tree, this burning bush, and also you see that God has brought you the Ten Commandments on live, which sounds just like what you experience during a DMT experience. When if you could have that and you could have contact with beings, they form of provide you with guidance on live.
