Jerry Seinfeld is in full support of Larry David’s infamous Elmo attack. The comedian said on Wednesday that he “enjoyed” watching his friend knock the beloved puppet off balance in a February brawl that took the web by storm.
Seinfeld spoke in regards to the incident throughout the appearance. today show, when host Jenna Bush Hager asked him, “Did you see when Larry David was here and he attacked Elmo?”
As co-host Hoda Kotb said it was “sad”, Seinfeld responded, “No, I liked it. I enjoyed it!”
On February 1, David walked on stage today show when the group was taping a segment about mental health with Elmo and physically attacked. Sesame Street Puppet The incident shocked the hosts, and later sparked a heated debate on the Internet, with many speaking out against David.

And so the puppeteer in me was like, ‘Oh my God, that is so dangerous. Like, you only got someone’s hand.’ grabbed and twisted it,” said John Tartaglia. And so, it is a risk we take.
On Wednesday, Bush Hager pushed back against Seinfeld’s support of the attack, quipping, “Elmo is an American treasure!”
Seinfeld replied: “Well, even treasures need to be hit once.”
When Bush Hager told the comedian that he was “just standing up for your friend,” nonetheless, Seinfeld admitted, “It’s true.”
