“I wanted to leave you on a good note,” a male French voice whispered in your ear. “So I brought some wine… I mean, how can a French boy go out without wine…”
This is the first two minutes of the track. “French goodbye.” The 10-minute recording features the soft voice of a French man (or at least, a man with a French accent) as he sings to his lover – the listener – one last time before boarding a plane to Paris the next morning. Raises a finger.
“French Goodbye” is one of many stories on the AudioErotica platform. who. The site, which launched this month after a beta period, was founded by 22-year-old Caroline Spiegel, the sister of Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel.
As I soon learned, accented voices — French, English, Australian — are hugely popular on Queen, according to Spiegel. “Our most popular tag is ‘lesbian,’ which is the same thing with visual porn,” she told me when I visited Quinn’s office by the Williamsburg Bridge.

“We have over 150 tags, so there’s a lot to choose from,” continued Spiegel. Other popular themes include the Daddy Dom/Little Girl (a consensual, unambiguous Dom/Sub pairing) and BDSM in general. The most popular track is “Harry eats you” Which is also Spiegel’s personal favorite.
More than just a ‘sexy podcast’
Audio erotica is having a bit of a moment. While subreddits like r/gonewildadio And popular site Laterotica Over the years, audio porn has only recently begun to receive the same Silicon Valley treatment as non-sexual podcasts. App DipsiaA startup that offers paid subscriptions to in-house created audio erotic stories. $5.5 million earlier this year.
This makes sense given the audio boom we’re currently experiencing in general. Podcast listenership is on the rise. And investors are pouring money into the industry to keep up. In February, for example, Spotify bought podcast networks Gimlet and Anchor for $340 million.. This week only, the streaming giant Released a new playlist of Your Daily Podcast.which shows that they are doubling down on their interest in the podcast.
While Quinn and her cohorts are having an incredible time, it’s clear that they’re not just a “sexy podcast.” Actually, when Spiegel pushed back Wired called Queen “the Spotify for audio porn”. “We get that comparison all the time,” he told Wired. “But we’re obviously really different.”
Quinn was born out of a period of sexual discovery that Spiegel underwent after recovering from an eating disorder. Visual porn didn’t appeal to him, so he found audio porn on Reddit and Literotica. “I was blown away,” she said, “I’m a huge fan of all these audio porn creators.”
There have been problems with mainstream pornography. Discussed Advertisement Nauseaand there are places people can go for accessible, more ethical content. Feminism, moral obscenity absolutely exists., but some, like Spiegel himself, may not be into visual porn at all — or just prefer something different. This is where Audio Erotica comes in. It’s sexy, moral (in Quinn and Dipsy’s case, at least), and leaves more room for fantasy than visual obscenity. According to Spiegel, audio porn is “kind of a paradoxical move. Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, the more graphic the better,’ but actually, I think human desire is more complicated than that.”
A place for all listeners
Given the old adage that “Men are visual creatures” An assumption might be that only women would like audio porn. Spiegel and his team soon realized that this was not the case. The beta version was designed for women, but now that it’s fully launched, they plan to keep all genders in mind. Users are about 50/50 male and female, and the site is actively seeking creators in categories that lack beta, such as weird stories.
What sets Queen apart from other sources is that it solidifies the experience of listening to audio porn. As Spiegel puts it, creators “tap together their experience.” “They are linking. Soundgasm And then they’re connecting to their Patreon and people are going everywhere. Queen makes it smooth – and it was built not just to play audio, but to play audio porn. Creators have a place to put their name.

It is these creators that separate Queen from Dipsia as well. Dipsea itself releases three stories weekly. They work with writers and voice actors. However, Queen only hosts content created by creators. At the time of publication, Dipsea is an app-only experience while Quinn is a website — but Spiegel said that will change soon. An app is working, he said. “We’re probably going to have some issues with the App Store.”
Spiegel was referring to an ongoing battle that Queen, and many other porn hosting sites and creators, have experienced, especially since the passage of the sex-trafficking law. The former siesta. Just one day after Queen’s debut, Spiegel tweeted. Instagram removed Quinn’s account. (It has since restored). Earlier this month, PayPal announced that they will no longer support PornHub payments. – is just the latest in an ongoing list of paid services and social media platforms that are hostile to sex workers.
Given the struggle to provide space for porn creators while navigating FOSTA-SESTA, Spiegel emphasized that he and his team want it to work with companies like Instagram. “We’re not hitting the streets right now and forcing our customers to write to these companies,” he said. “We’d love to just hash it out with them and be super flexible and work on it.”
Spiegel continued, “We understand the complexities of the porn industry best, and why it’s a difficult industry to support. And we’re trying to differentiate ourselves in a big way.
All content on Quinn is free, but they make it part of their mission to pay creators fairly. In contrast, Quinn is also ad-free (for now) and users can compensate creators by making fan suggestions. While Spiegel didn’t reveal much about how it plans to make money, it did say that there could be some surprises for consumers in the coming year — surprises that Spiegel informed consumers will be waiting for. Will be excited to pay.
With its cute wink logo and emphasis on providing pleasure — at one point, specifically female pleasure — one might assume the site is riding on the wellness and self-care trends. “Sometimes we get into this kind of wellness movement and this kind of self-care movement,” Spiegel said.
However, she was quick to dismiss that line of thought. “I just want to make it clear that we’re not something that you have to work into your routine to make yourself healthier, like increase your metabolism, or whatever.”
According to Spiegel, Quinn’s goal is to support creators and build a community — and hopefully make audio porn more mainstream. This and to provide a pleasant, ethical space for both porn creators and listeners. As he said, “We’re more about having fun and feeling good.”
