Last month, Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce announced they would open a steakhouse with restaurant chain Noble 33, with a foodie joke seen on social media.
Although 1587 Prime — courtesy of Mahomes and Kelce’s jerseys — isn’t expected to open until early 2025, An Instagram account Kansas City seems already live for the joint.
The account, @1587prime, is followed by Mahomes’ official Instagram, suggesting the page is legitimate.
The account has posted nine images so far, each a part of a larger image. Together, the squares feature a charming, mid-century modern-inspired restaurant with wood floors, minimal furniture, and bold, geometric lighting fixtures.
Decorated in warm reds and browns, this illustration features leather booths, velvet curtains and champagne on ice.
Each square has the same headline: “A modern American steakhouse from Noble 33, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce is coming to Kansas City in early 2025.”
The bio on the page tagged Mahomes and Kelce’s official Instagram accounts, @patrickmahomes and @killatrav.

Mahomes and Kelce have proven to be a winning combination on and off the field. The Chiefs quarterback has previously described Kelce as a “brother,” with the 34-year-old tight end being a groomsman in Mahomes’ 2022 wedding to wife Brittany.
“His family and my family have almost become one family,” Mahomes told ESPN’s Jeff Darlington in 2023.
Britney Mahomes is also friends with Kelly’s girlfriend Taylor Swift. The entrepreneur and pop star was spotted hanging out numerous times last season, cheering on the Chiefs during games and going on nights out with other players’ wives and girlfriends.
When Mahomes joined the Chiefs in 2017, Kelce helped him find his feet. After bumping into the 28-year-old and his fellow rookies during a party, Kelis invited the newcomer to join him and his friends, sparking a beautiful friendship.
Mahomes shared the story during the 2022 episode. New heights The podcast, which Kelis co-hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, added that they both showed up late to the team’s walkthrough the next day.
“I was like, ‘Dope, I’m not alone! Come on man,'” Kelis joked during the show. “At that point, I knew we were teammates.”
Kelce has sung Mahomes’ praises since day one. In an interview with Newsweek In February, Kelce’s high school football coach, Damion Creel, mentioned a conversation he had with the football star in 2018, a year after Mahomes joined the Chiefs.
“I said, ‘Trav, is that Patrick Mahomes dude?'” Creel said. “He said, ‘Kril, wait till I tell you: He’s a friend.’
“That was before Patrick did anything,” Creel added.[Kelce] Then told me. He said, ‘Watch out. watch out. He’s a dude.”
