Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her progressive approach to relationships after coining the term “conscious uncoupling” following her divorce from ex-husband Chris Martin.
However, when it comes to her status as a married woman, she prefers to romance just one man.
During an Instagram Q&A with followers, Paltrow revealed that she is a bit more conservative than expected.
“Have you ever considered a poly relationship?” one user asked the founder of lifestyle brand Goop. Polyamory is defined because the practice of engaging in multiple romantic relationships.
“No thanks!” Paltrow responded on her Instagram Stories on “AMA Travel Day (Ask Me Anything”).
The Oscar winner added: “Not for me, but I’m not judging. I’m a one-woman girl.
She married screenwriter and tv producer Brad Falchuk in 2018 after 4 years of dating. They first met on the set of “Glee” in 2010.
Paltrow and Martin, the Coldplay singer, have been married for 10 years and have two children together, Apple and Moses, but announced their separation in 2014 as a “conscious uncoupling.”
Their divorce was finalized in 2016 and so they remain an example when it comes to friendly exes in Tinseltown.
The Oscar winner got cozy together with her ex, girlfriend Dakota Johnson and her husband when the foursome were spotted on a beach within the Hamptons in 2019.
Martin also accompanied Paltrow on her honeymoon to the Maldives after she married Falchuk in September 2018, and Johnson reportedly attended a family ski trip to Aspen, Colorado, later that 12 months.
Paltrow previously mentioned the “love” she has for the “Madame Web” actress in a 2020 interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
“I love her. … I can already see how it might seem weird because it’s kind of unconventional. But I think in this case, just going through it over and over again, I just love her,” she said.
“I at all times start enthusiastic about the ampersand – what else are you able to contribute as an alternative of resisting or feeling insecure? There are tons of advantages to leaning into something like this.
“Maybe I think about relationships like that differently because I grew up in a family,” Johnson told Vanity Fair in June.
Her parents, Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, were married briefly in 1976 and again in 1989, then divorced in 1996.
Griffith was previously married to Steven Bauer, and the previous couple has one son.
Melanie was married to Antonio Banderas from 1996, before their divorce was finalized, until 2015. They even have a daughter named Stella.
Don, 73, has been married five times to 4 women, two of which had an annulment inside days. In 1999, he married Kelley Phleger, and so they have three children.
“We were all cool [with each other]” – Dakota said about her unique childhood. “Of course there were times when it wasn’t fun, but I experienced that, so I don’t want that in my life.”
