We’re into the final four gameweeks of the Fantasy Premier League, with the title still up for grabs in England’s top flight…and maybe your mini-leagues too!
With that in mind, here are our tips for signings this week, factoring in the upcoming fixtures, double game weeks and the Premier League form of teams across the country.
Justin Kluivert – Midfielder, Bournemouth, 4.6m
At home to an out-of-form Brighton side who dispatched four in midweek, Bournemouth have the chance to continue their fine record at the Vitality Stadium where they are unbeaten in the last four. Our pick is Justin Kluivert, with three goals or assists ahead of a tough pair of away matches.
He is in form, cheap, when the Cherries face Arsenal next week – before returning for another winnable home game against Brentford in GW37. Think ahead, balance funds elsewhere and get an in-form attacker who can shine.
Cole Palmer – Midfielder, Chelsea, 6.2m
Sometimes there’s no need to be too clever about things – still less than 50% of managers’ teams have Cole Palmer yet he’s a constant source of goals, plays in attack, takes penalties and through sickness Arsenal. Leaves a dismal defeat.
But to look at the campaign now, the Blues have a double gameweek (admittedly a tough one), then it’s West Ham, Forest, Brighton, Bournemouth. Only one of them has any form and by then they will have nothing to play for. Make sure Palmer is back in your team – he’s sure to be a strong performer to ensure he makes England’s Euro 2024 squad.
Jordan Pickford – Goalkeeper, Everton, 4.7m
Buoyed by back-to-back wins and almost certain of survival, Everton can probably finish the campaign in relatively decent form, provided they now play two of the bottom three in their upcoming games. First though it’s Brentford at home and Goodison Park will surely be buzzing after that derby win against Liverpool.
Make the most of it by adding a player or two from the Toffees to your squad (and removing them before deadline day, away from Arsenal) – our pick for this week is Jordan Pickford as he’s a guaranteed starter. Yes, he has kept three clean sheets. Four in and maybe one or two more in the coming games.
Alexander Isak – Striker, Newcastle, 8.1m
The Magpies are another team who look to have an easy task, so one or two of your squad should prove valuable here – we’re going for Alexander Iske, especially his home form five. Has been excellent with goals and one assist in his last three at St James’ Park.
Newcastle face Sheffield United this weekend, with a double gameweek soon after Burnley. If he stays on the scoring trail at home and has an extra bag, he could be a late-season bargain for your team.
Hwang Hee-chan – Midfielder, Wolves, 5.4m
While we love picks that benefit both this gameweek and beyond, sometimes you just have a player you want for one game and then turn them off again after they’ve met their goal. Loading – Hwang Hee-chan is our man for the role this week.
Wolves play Luton at home, who are injury-hit, out of form, almost down and out. Huang will attack with Cunha at the back but not fully fit, Neto sidelined and Pablo Sarabia very hit and miss. Cunha is more of a scorer if you think he’ll be fully involved, but Huang is 0.2m cheaper if you can’t swing him, want another forward or risk the Brazilian’s involvement. want
