Fox News Questions Kid Rock’s Endorsement of Budweiser

Kid Rock faced grilling Fox News following his apparent turn away from Bud Light after the rapper appeared on TV wearing a hat promoting the beer brand.

The star – real name Robert Ritchie – was one of several conservative stars who condemned Bud Light in April 2023 over its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

The company sent the TikTok star a personalised case of beer to have a good time her first yr as a girl, which angered many Bud Light drinkers, including Ritchie and fellow music stars Travis Tritt and John Rich.

Ritchie responded to the cooperation by firing an assault rifle at a case of soda, proclaiming “F*** Bud Light.”

He also vowed not to hold the brand at his Honky Tonk steakhouse in Nashville, Tennessee, which caused many fans to hitch the boycott. By February 2022, Bud Light’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch InBev, is estimated to have lost $1.4 billion because of this.

However, Ritchie’s attitude toward the brand appears to have softened, and the 53-year-old defended Bud Light during an appearance on the show Ingraham angle Thursday.

“We have bigger goals,” the hip-hop star told host Laura Ingraham on Thursday. “I mean, when you look at Planet Fitness, what do they do?”

Planet Fitness is currently facing a conservative boycott of its inclusionary policies. A gym chain allows transgender people to make use of the locker room that matches their gender identity, upsetting some users.

Ritchie said he had no intention of “putting any targets on anyone’s neck” before continuing to list the brands he was boycotting, including Target and Ben & Jerry’s.

“I talked to the guys at Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch,” he continued. “[They] broken. I wish they’d just say it, like, “Hey, we kind of screwed up,” you know, whatever. That’s not how you cut them.”

The American bad ass** the rapper said he “doesn’t need to hurt people within the workplace,” adding that “there are loads more corporations we needs to be excited by.”

Ritchie took an analogous stance during his interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity in November, through which the American Music Award winner explained that he “doesn’t want to be part of the party of cancel culture and boycotts.”

“[Boycotts] ultimately hurt working class people,” he said.

“I know people who work there and it’s no longer cool to wear that blue shirt and go around places. That’s why they have a problem now. I feel like I can let go.”

In December, Ritchie admitted to drinking Bud Light again, telling Tucker Carlson, “They screwed up, they made a mistake. I have enough of this. I’m not the type of person to kick a person when they fall.”

However, Ritchie had already been seen drinking the drink at Colt Ford’s concert in August, and fans feared the musician was “woke.”
