This is scary news for those who plan to use AI technologies, especially generative AI tools like ChatGPT, to flood product reviews. Fakespot can make this task even more difficult by using its AI to spot fake product reviews.
Saud Khalifa, founder of Fakespot told Axios At the time of acquisition, reviews are critical to the online shopping experience because “you can’t touch the product,” he said. “You really need reviews.”
