Everton’s appeal against them second deduction of points for breaking the Premier League’s financial rules shall be heard “urgently” and a call shall be made before the tip of the season.
In February, following an appeal, the Toffees had their deduction reduced to 6 points for a three-year period until the 2021-22 season.
The appeal case submitted on Monday shall be considered “in an expedited manner”.

The Premier League said: “For clarity and certainty for all clubs and fans, the Premier League will seek an urgent resolution of the appeal, with the result confirmed before Sunday 19 May, the final day of this season.
“An appeals committee was appointed to hear the case after the club appealed to the presiding judge today.
“The matter will be reviewed on an expedited basis in accordance with standard league guidelines.”
