Eufy’s new Floodlight E30 camera combines a 2K camera that can tilt and rotate 360 degrees with a pair of 2,000-lumen LED floodlights and enables local video capture without subscription fees. Although Eufy, Anker’s smart home brand, sells similar products with batteries and solar panels, offering more flexibility in where to mount them, most homes already come with a spotlight. This makes the wired E30 an easy replacement, which is now available on the company’s website and on Amazon for $149.99,
There are alternatives that we currently recommend in our spotlight camera buyer’s guide, but for $150, the Eufy E30 offers some premium features without charging an ongoing fee to actually use them.
Thanks to the E30 wired cable, which has an IP65 dust and water resistance rating, it can record all day and night, regardless of the weather. It accepts microSD cards up to 128GB, which Eufy says is large enough to store up to 144 hours or six days of video at the highest resolution. The E30 can also be connected wirelessly to the $149.99 Eufy HomeBase S380, which can expand that storage to 16TB if you opt for a larger hard drive.

In addition to a full 360-degree rotation, the E30 camera has a vertical tilt range of 70 degrees. Thanks to “AI-based detection”, the camera can recognize vehicles and people and automatically track their movements. Eufy says the E30 can also “track moving objects outside the camera’s current field of view” using motion sensors, and then automatically pan the camera to make sure they’re captured.
Using the Eufy app, you can define detection zones that automatically trigger a spotlight and a 105 dB alarm. During the day, you can also approach more quietly and use the E30’s two-way communication capabilities to chat with unexpected guests via the mobile app.
