The following month, Rangers stated that their supporters were left “unprotected” and that elderly and disabled fans were injured by bottles and other rockets thrown at Celtic Park.
At the time, Celtic said its fans and stewards were also hit by debris, including seats torn from the stands.
A Rangers spokesman confirmed the club was assisting Police Scotland with their investigation into the most recent incident.
Police Scotland said: “We are aware that an object was thrown at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow during Sunday’s Rangers v Celtic match.
“One man was struck but did not require treatment, inquiries are ongoing.”
