DeGeneres, 66, and De Rossi, 51, tied the knot earlier this month in Burford, UK, following reports that the couple had moved to England following Donald Trump’s presidential election victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. Spent the night at the pub.
In a video shared to The Farmer’s Dogs Instagram pageA band plays as the camera pans over the table with the former talk show host rocking his signature blonde hair and smiling next to his wife of 16 years.
The video was filmed by Lisa Hogan, the girlfriend of UK talk show host and pub owner Jeremy Clarkson, when she turned the camera to show the “Arrested Development” alum sitting next to DeGeneres, who waved the camera. The clip also features artist Natalie Umberglia singing as the cover gives an acoustic performance.
“You’re Beautiful” singer James Blunt was also tagged in the post.
“What a great night at the pub with @thecorrsofficial,” the caption read. “The way a good pub night should be … acoustic set, a few drinks, good friends.”
After sources, the footage resurfaced Told Lipit That DeGeneres and de Rossi packed up and moved to Britain. The insider added that the comedian and actress are ready to put their Montecito, Calif., mansion on the market in an attempt to make a fresh start overseas.
The source claimed the couple, who married in 2008, will likely “never” return to the US on a permanent basis.
Separate sources told TMZ that the two decided to “put the hell out” of the country shortly after the president-elect’s victory, leaving them “very disappointed.”
During the election season, DeGeneres was vocal about her support for Harris, and reportedly donated $3,300 to his campaign.
In August, the “Finding Nemo” star publicly endorsed Harris. On Instagram.
“There is no one more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president,” DeGeneres captioned her post.
The stand-up, who reportedly boasts a net worth of $370 million, has had an extensive property portfolio over the years.
His most recent purchase was in Montecito, which he and De Rossi purchased in 2019 for $27 million. DeGeneres and De Rossi lived with their good friends Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Now, he is reportedly living in the Cotswolds of South West England, about two hours from London.
But the couple will still boast a star-studded list of neighbors across the pond, including David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Elizabeth Hurley and Jeremy Clarkson.
The area is also home to royalty, as King Charles and Queen Camilla own Highgrove House in Gloucestershire.
Meanwhile, DeGeneres is the second high-profile celebrity to flee the US since Trump’s victory.
Last week, Eva Longoria said she and her family had swapped “dystopian” America for a brighter life in Mexico and Spain.
