Everyone’s favorite TV scientist, now 68, is encouraging fans to debate him on social media following the release of his latest video End of Time magazine, where the “Dancing with the Stars” alum looks unexpectedly casual in a profile encouraging readers to see the upcoming solar eclipse.
“You’re talking about three minutes and 18 seconds… it’s going to change your life,” he told the site about taking the time to look at the sky eclipse the sun, which is able to occur around 3:25 p.m. ET on April 8 in New York City.
But it’s Nye’s outfits that basically have fans excited on social media.
The “King of Science” graces the cover of New York magazine in an orange sleeveless puffer vest and matching orange sunglasses paired with modern drawstring cargo pants.
In other words, the old “Principles of Science!” The podcast host dons one other set of glasses – this time black – to match his black bomber jacket and sweatpants, held together by a silver chain.
“SCREAMING” – one person on X said of Nye’s latest look, “She looks fresh as hell!”
“A huge death, William” – the second one he applauded Mechanical Engineer.
“This is madness” another person admitted.
“She has this Billie Eilish merch,” one fan said he compared it to the “Happier Than Ever” singer’s signature laid-back style.
Other fans questioned who styled Nye for the photoshoot, claiming they “loved it up!” together with your decisions, while one other I used to be wondering if this might be an april fools joke.
“But I love it,” admitted the skeptic.
Fashion aside, Nye talked to the magazine about why people should fill up on safety glasses and witness the solar eclipse.
“Don’t miss this eclipse. It’s a giant deal,” he said. “The next one won’t be for 20 years. You don’t know where you will be or if you will be able to be there. So catch this one.
