Robert Lewandowski scored his first hat-trick of the season.

After Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili was sent off, Barcelona cruised to victory thanks to a second-half hat-trick from Robert Lewandowski.

The hosts, who came close to relinquishing the La Liga title to Real Madrid despite the win, saw Ferman Lopez take the lead.

Hudo Duro equalized soon after and Papillo’s penalty gave Valencia the lead.

But they sent off Mamardashvili just before half-time and the 35-year-old Polish striker took full advantage.

Lewandowski equalized with a header early in the second half then nodded in the rebound before grabbing a third from a free-kick in added time.

Barcelona are second in La Liga, 11 points behind Real Madrid with five games remaining.

Valencia are eighth and face a battle to qualify for Europe next season as they are four points behind sixth-placed Real Sociedad.
